Texelbahn cable car mountain station
Katharinaberg, in Senales Valley/ Schnalstal
The hike starts at the Texelbahn cableway mountain station, constantly leading westwards on Route No. 24. The trail passes through ravines and gorges, some with stairs and stone steps. The traditional mountain farms found along the way provide hikers with the opportunity for some rest and refreshment. From Linthof, the route runs into Senales Valley/ Schnalstal, to the village of Katharinaberg/ Monte Santa Caterina, at 1245 m.
If the hike is too long in its entirety, there are several short-cuts leading down into the valley such as: - after Hochforchweg turn left along Route No. 29/39 to Plaus. After the “1000 steps” close to Grub Weg take Route No. 6 towards Naturns/ Naturno and after Galmein left on Route No. 24b continue to Unterstell. From there, the cableway leads down to Naturno in the valley.
